Tomasz Jodłowiec (Polish pronunciation: [ˈtɔmaʂ jɔdˈwɔvjɛts]; born September 8, 1985 in Żywiec) is a Polish footballer who plays for Polonia Warsaw and the Polish national football team as a central defender.

Career

Club

Jodłowiec debuted in the Ekstraklasa in July 2006 for Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski. In 2008 he moved to the Polish capital after Dyskobolia merged with Polonia Warsaw. For some time he was closely monitored by Napoli FC but turned down a transfer for family reasons. He may join Maccabi Haifa F.C. from Israel at the beginning of next season

International

He debuted for Poland on October 11, 2008, coming on as a substitute for Rafal Murawski during the 2010 World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic. On December 14 he played his first entire match against Serbia. Jodłowiec scored an own goal during an international friendly with France on June 9, 2011.
